Saturday in London

Had too much work to do yesterday, unfortunately. That’s the Blackberry curse, of course.

After a lazy morning reading the Financial Times, we went to a French bistro, Racine, 239 Brompton Road, www. racine-restaurant.com, for a nice lunch before Mr. Joseph, Lara, Roo and I spent a few hours in the Victoria & Albert Museum, www.vam.ac.uk, for a spin around their collection of arts and design. An special exhibition on Grace Kelly’s iconic fashion was, unfortunately, sold out. There was another on quilts over the centuries but we took a pass on that one and simply wandered around the main galleries.

For a restorative on the way back, we paused at Hotel Chocolat, www.hotelchocolat.co.uk, and then back home, had a serious power nap. (All of this was fine for Roo who had had a 10k or whatever run today; not so fine for me.)

For dinner, we headed to our fave Indian resto in London, Zaika, www.zaika-restaurant.co.uk, about a 10 minute walk from here. I think we may have ordered too much.

Cabbies weren’t as friendly today as yesterday.
