Day 63–Out and About

Most of the regulars were at the gym today, including a guy who I see coming in periodically, just after he butts out his cigar! Why bother?

It’s another gorgeous day here so we spent, as Norma called it, “a typical Paris day.” We walked along rue du Bac, had a very amusing stop at Deyrolle, the taxidermist, then over to the Right Bank, along rue St. Honoré, had lunch at Angelina, walked back across the river to various shops. Sandy and I sat in the Café de la Mairie for a bit. We finally found the Jean Anouilh play, Médée (Medea), which we are seeing in a few weeks and Sandy read. I did the NYT crossoword. Then we had dinner (again) at La Boussole, had a cognac at the Café and that was Saturday.

Would have needed a wider-angle lens to snap a photo of me today.

Jessica arrives tomorrow.
