May 9–Into the Marais Encore

Our hours are shifted here; we eat later and get up later. I was about the first person in the gym this morning and having eaten much yesterday, needed to be there.

Went to the Marais only to discover that the exposition we wanted to see didn’t open until 1, so had a falafel at L’as du fallafel” (not to be confused with King Fallafel) and saw the lovely Matisse show at Pompidou instead.

Even Pain de Sucre was closed today.

Walked the long way back to notre quartier but flagged so had to try the chocolat chaud at Sip Babylone (5th on the list). It was excellent but not quite Angelina, still #1 in our books.

At Lasserre, on beautiful nights as last night, the room opens onto the sky. Very harmonious.
